The Institute for "Interracial" Harmony, (I"I"H) Inc. has been in
existence as a nonprofit 501(c)3 tax exempt organization since 1982.
Over the years we have successfully conducted many diversity seminars
and forums on raising consciousness as to how racism/colorism affects all areas
of people activity. Some of the
institutions where the forums were held: colleges all over the United States;
state, city and local government agencies and private corporations interested
in enhancing their Diversity programs have benefited enormously from our
Racism/Colorism Quotient Test and Program Workshop.
The mission of the Institute is to raise the consciousness of, and in,
the public on an individual as well as a group level as to the many ways we
practice (often unconsciously) discrimination against those whose ethnicity or
color is different from our own. Using
our Racism/Colorism Quotient
(R/CQ) Test as a catalyst we engender discussion, disclosure and
acknowledgement of a still-existing disease in our society: Racism/Colorism.
Once that consciousness is raised we then encourage individuals and/or
groups, who often turn out to be individuals that
make decisions in all areas of people activity (policing, housing,
employment, the legal process etc.) and over the livelihoods of people who have
varied ethnic background, to develop the ability to eliminate the
racism/colorism that consistently clouds their judgment.
Essentially, one's
IQ improves with the R/CQ Test program.
